Comments

When members leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the member’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to all members of the website in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We will strictly not share your data to any sources that are not part of The Tennis Buzz community. By signing up and taking a membership with The Tennis Buzz you are agreeing to the other members of the site. You can change your privacy settings to alter who can and can't see sections of your profile.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Controlling Your Privacy

The Tennis Buzz website allows you to alter your privacy settings through the accounts tab. You can choose who can view your profile information. You can choose "public, members, my connections or me". 'Public and members' represents all members of the site can view the data. 'My connections' represents people the user is connected with can view the data. 'Me' represents only the user can view the data.

The user can set their email preferences through the privacy section under account.

The user reserves the right to delete their data at any time including post comments, profile information and private messages.

Newsfeed

The newsfeed operates as a site-wide network and any user can post to the newsfeed. The user reserves the right to choose who can view the content by selecting the visibility. The newsfeed can also be edited at any time.

Private Messaging

The Tennis Buzz website has the functionality for private messaging between users. By default this function is restricted to users that are connected on the site. The visibility is strictly between the two users or a group of users. Admins also reserve access rights to messages where the user has a problem on the site or where a user has made a complaint regarding another user through the private messaging function.
